48.2 translational research of oxytocin and vasopressin biology in asd

Brain oxytocin (OXT) and arginine vasopressin (AVP) critically regulate normative social behavior in mammals and in humans, and evidence from experimental and observational models of OXT or AVP signaling pathways is linked to social impairments. The goals of this series of investigations are to examine evidence from observational studies in rhesus monkeys and pharmacological challenges with OXT and AVP in ASD.
