2.1 analyses of the bloc and blas rating scales and their impact on adolescents age 11 –17 diagnosed with ocd and/or anxiety disorder

Standardized rating scales are commonly used in mental health care. Several scales used for adolescents diagnosed with anxiety and/or OCD include Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS), Screen for Child Anxiety Related Disorders (SCARED), and Yale-Brown Obsessive-Compulsive Scale (Y-BOCS). Lin Lu, MD, at Rosalind Franklin University developed “blink light rating scales” (Basic Linear Algebra Subprograms [BLAS] and blink light obsessive-compulsive [BLOC]), which have patients consider their anxious thoughts as a blinking light.
