2.57 anxiety disorders in asd: clinical phenotypes and their diagnostic characterization

A high prevalence of anxiety in children among subjects with developmental disorders and with ASD is reported. ASD comprises many conditions characterized by heterogeneous symptoms with or without comorbidities. Anxiety may present itself with different expressions related to each clinical ASD phenotype. In this work, we report common anxiety forms in ASD, level-1 (DSM-5) subjects and impact on ASD.
