3.34 effects of vital sound-based music intervention on emotional regulation ability and attachment in young children: a preliminary study

Children between the ages of 3 and 7 years develop various strategies to regulate emotions by the growth in mental and brain development. Given that relaxing music and the mother ’s steady vital sound (ie, heartbeat) can relieve subjective and physiological responses to stress and improve parent-child attachment, this study explored the effect of music combined with heartbeat on children’s emotion regulation ability.
