3.52 is suicidal behavior on the rise? child and adolescent trends in emergency department visits for suicidal ideation and self-harm
There was a significant increase in suicidal attempts and ideation in children and adolescents presenting to US emergency departments (EDs) from 2007 to 2015. Determining whether there had been a similar increase at a large Canadian pediatric hospital was the main objective. A secondary objective was to explore related demographic and clinical variables.
