This study aimed to investigate the clinical factors affecting pregnancy rates following the surgical removal of intrauterine adhesions (IUAs) and subsequent in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET). We retrospectively evaluated case data from patients who had undergone hysteroscopic surgery to remove varying degrees of IUAs and who had subsequently received assisted reproductive treatments with IVF-ET (in all 140 cycles) at our hospital between January, 2011 and January, 2015. The patient data were divided into either the pregnancy or non-pregnancy groups based on the pregnancy outcomes, and a number of clinico...

This is a very common misconception.Part of the reason is that twins are far more memorable than singletons. This is specially true if the birth of the twins has happened after many years of infertility , because of IVF.On the other hand, singleton IVF pregnancies are not very memorable - and infertile couples will often not even share the information that they did IVF to get pregnant. Also, multiple pregnancies after IVF used to be much commoner in the past , because many IVF clinics would transfer multiple embryos at one time. They didn't have very good success rates, and in order to increase the chances of succ...

BermasAbstractResearch into the safety of medications used to treat rheumatic diseases in men wishing to conceive is lacking. When evaluating medication safety for potential fathers, there are two major reproductive issues to consider first whether a drug induces infertility and second whether a drug can cause adverse pregnancy outcomes. Cyclopshophamide is the only medication used in rheumatic disease management that causes irreversible infertility. All men prescribed cyclophosphami...

ConclusionsDYD confers teratogenic effects after exposure to the recommended doses in pregnant women. The risks of hypospadias and cryptorchidism have biological plausibility by the known effects on male genitalia, as is the risk for spina bifida, by the proven decrease in folic acid levels. Some of these adverse fetal effects appear to be further augmented by concomitant use of IVF and ART.

CONCLUSIONS: Based on the above pooled results of the studies, the use of acupuncture as a monotherapy significantly improved the rate of pregnancy among the study participants compared with the use of CC alone. However, any results drawn from these studies should be interpreted with caution when considering the context of clinical practice. PMID: 31581787 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

This study discussed the effects of AFC quartile levels on pregnancy outcomes combined with female age, female cause of infertility, and ovarian response undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. At present, many research about AFC mainly discuss its impact on clinical practice at different thresholds, or the analyses of AFC with respect to assisted reproductive technology outcomes under using different ovarian stimulation protocols. Factors that include ovarian sensitivity index, female age, and infertility cause are all independent predictors of live birth undergoing IVF/intracytoplasmic sperm injection, while f...

Conclusion and dissemination: We will assess the efficacy and safety of physical exercise on semen quality and reproductive outcomes in infertile men. The findings will be published in a peer-reviewed journal to provide evidence-based medical evidence for clinical decision making and the patient's lifestyle guidance. ConclusionPregnancy in the RTO-EM group was comparable to the salpingectomy group in patients with hydrosalpinx prior to ET treatment. Radiologically guided tubal occlusion with embolization microcoils may be an alternative to salpingectomy for patients with hydrosalpinx planning IVF-ET.

ConclusionsAlthough further prospective research on the efficacy of chemotherapy during pregnancy is necessary, survival of patients diagnosed with early stage HL during pregnancy appears not to be statistically different from matched non-pregnant controls, Awareness of complications as preterm delivery and low birth weight is important in this population.Clinical trial identificationNTC00330447.Legal entity responsible for the studyThe authors.FundingEuropean Union ’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Program under grant agreement No 647047 Research Foundation-Flanders (FWO., grant no G070514N) and ESGO (European...
