Government watchdog faces investigation after accrediting homoeopaths who offer a 'cure' for autism
The Professional Standards Authority, who regulate practitioners in the UK, accredited The Society of Homeopaths in April. Some of its members practice Cease therapy.
The Prince of Wales is a long-time supporter of homeopathy and has used his royal position to try to get it widely accepted. Despite some homeopaths operating in the UK claiming to cure autism.
A homeopathic therapy that promises “complete elimination” of autism has been banned by the regulator for naturopaths in B.C.
Naturopathy is quackery. If you doubt this, consider that you can't have naturopathy without homeopathy. What's even worse is when naturopaths subject autistic children to quackery like CEASE therapy. Expecting any naturopathic regulatory board to investigate quackery in naturopathy is the proverbial fox guarding the henhouse. Recent outbreaks of mumps on college campuses by students vaccinated with the MMR vaccine provides additional evidence that the MMR vaccine is ineffective. Data from the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting...
It's been a bad week for the Gray Lady in the science department. Hot off the heels of hiring a climate science denier for its op-ed section, it's published a credulous article that uncritically touts a book full of dubious alternative medicine testimonials.
“You need to detox.” How many times have you heard or read this? Maybe a friend of yours suggested it for the New Year. Maybe you saw it on a website, in a magazine, or as part of an ad. I like to say sometimes, “Toujours les toxines,” because in many branches of alternative medicine…
Conclusions • This survey documents significant variations in the vaccination attitudes and practices of integrative medicine physicians. This survey provides benchmark data for future surveys of this growing specialty and other practitioners. It is important for public health leaders and the vaccination industry to be aware that integrative medicine physicians have vaccination attitudes and practices that differ from the guidelines of the CDC and the Advisory Council on Immunization Practices.
