Federal Jurisdiction Affirmed In New Jersey Class Action Alleging Chromium Exposure

NEWARK, N.J. - A judge presiding over a putative class action alleging exposure to hexavalent chromium from a Jersey City, N.J., chromate refinery issued an amended scheduling order May 21 to set a June 19 telephone conference for discovery issues; the judge also entered an order May 20 adopting a federal magistrate judge's recommendation to retain jurisdiction (Latreica Smith, et al. v. Honeywell International Inc., et al., No. 10-3345, D. N.J.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 72995; See 6/6/11, Page 17).
