The value of the left atrial appendage orifice perimeter of 3D model based on 3D TEE data in the choice of device size of LAmbre ™ occluder

AbstractPreoperative optimal selection of the occluder size is crucial in percutaneous left atrial appendage (LAA) occlusion, and the maximal width of the LAA orifice is the main reference index, however it can not fully meet the practical operation requirements. We retrospectively analyzed three-dimensional (3D) transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and computed tomography (CT) imaging dataset of the 41 patients who underwent LAA occlusion with LAmbre ™ system. The LAA orifice parameters were overall evaluated to determine their role in device size selection. Eight LAA 3D models of the four cases who had been replaced their device during the procedure based on TEE and CT were printed out to verify the optimal parameter decision strategy. There was a significant concordance of the results between 3D TEE and CT in the LAA orifice evaluation. ConclusionsTransarticular SIJ biopsies are obtainable and can be directed towards areas with MRI abnormalities. They can be used to confirm inflammatory changes histologically. With the biopsy needles used, severe bone marrow sclerosis may hinder penetration to the cartilage, but bone marrow specimens can be obtained.

ConclusionsThere is a difference in mean error and reliability between radiologically measured values for anterior prominence and values measured directly with present methods. The use of our novel protocol based on bony acetabular landmarks, significantly improves the accuracy of measurement. This study aimed to reveal the correlation between the radiolucency area around the crown of impacted maxillary canines and dentigerous cysts using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). CBCT data were obtained from patients with impacted maxillary canines. We report a very rare case of LAM with malignant lymphoma. A 51-year-old female had medical history of recurrent pneumothorax and nephrectomy for a left renal angiomyolipoma and was diagnosed with LAM by video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery at the age of 30. She presented with left neck mass.
