81PSIPA1 is a modulator of HGF induced tumour metastasis via the regulation of tight junctions in lung adenocarcinoma cells

ConclusionsSIPA1 may act as a targeting molecule and a marker for prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma. It has an effect on pathways associated with aggressive behavior and barrier function in lung cancer cells. HGF induced malignant behavior of cancer cells requires the presence and influence of SIPA1, which can effect changes in cancer cell behavior by interacting with the TJ complex.Legal entity responsible for the studyTracey A. In this study, we assessed sCD27 levels in patients with advanced lung cancer and determined their correlation with survival and clinicopathologic parameters. METHODS: Serum samples were collected from patients with advanced lung cancer, and sCD27 was quantified via enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The association between sCD27 levels and clinicopathologic status and patient survival was retrospectively analyzed. RESULTS: Of 96 patients analyzed, 73 had adenocarcinoma, 7 had squamous cell carcinoma, and 15 had small cell carcinoma. Median serum sCD27 level was 36.54 U/mL (range, undetectable-104.47); this is lo...

This study is an important step forward in highlighting C1q as a new prognostic candidate biomarker for a range of carcinomas. Methods Oncomine Database Analysis The expression levels of C1QA, C1QB, and C1QC genes in various carcinomas were analyzed using Oncomine (www.oncomine.org), a cancer microarray database and web-based data mining platform from genome-wide expression analyses (22, 23). We compared the differences in mRNA level between normal tissue and carcinoma. The mRNA expression levels in neoplastic tissues compared to the healthy tissues were obtained as the parameters of p-value 2, and gene ranking in the t...

Conclusions: We found a highly reliable FI network, which revealed LIFR, PIK3R1, and MMP12 as novel prognostic biomarker candidates for GBC. These findings could accelerate biomarker discovery and therapeutic development in this cancer. Introduction Gallbladder cancer (GBC), the sixth most common gastrointestinal cancer, is an uncommon but challenging disease. Its incidence has recently increased highly worldwide (1). The risk factors for GBC include sex, aging, obesity, chronic cholecystitis, and cholelithiasis (2, 3). Because of the lack of an effective early diagnostic method, the disease often is not diagnosed ...

Despite advances in the development of strategies for treating EC, prognosis of the disease remains unsatisfactory, especially for advanced EC. The aim of this study was to identify novel genes that can be used as potential biomarkers for identifying the prognosis of EC and to construct a novel risk stratification using these genes. Me...

This study aimed to investigate whether combining anti-PD-L1 Atezolizumab with BEV may have a synergistic effect and enhance the efficacy of both treatments in cisplatin resistant epithelial ovarian cancer (CREOC). We retrospectively analyzed 124 epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) patients from Gynecologic Oncology Department of Tianjin Cancer Hospital between January 2013 and June 2018, who all were diagnosed with cisplatin resistance due to progressing

In conclusion, our WGCNA analysis identified candidate prognostic biomarkers for further basic and clinical researches. Introduction Breast cancer is a frequently diagnosed malignancy and the leading cause of cancer death among females around the world, accounting for 24% of cancer diagnoses and 15% of cancer deaths in females. According to Global Cancer Statistics 2018, there will be nearly 2.1 million new cases diagnosed globally, with ~62 thousand deaths. The incident rates of breast cancer increased in most developing countries during last decades, resulting from a combination of social and economic factors, incl...
