Dyslipidemia and Fat Distribution in Normal Weight Insulin Resistant Men.

Conclusion: No significant difference in lipids and fat distribution between insulin resistant and non-resistant subjects in overweight groups suggests that insulin resistance in overweight may be an extension of the pathological state related to obesity. In contrast, significant differences in lipid and fat distribution in normal weight insulin resistant individuals may likely be due to a different mechanism. PMID: 31559764 [PubMed - in process]
