Serum haptoglobin levels are associated with renal function decline in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients in a Chinese Han population.

CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest that serum Hp levels may be used as a potential biomarker for the early diagnosis and monitoring of DKD in T2DM patients.
