Evaluate the effect of acupuncture by measuring the amplitude of motor evoked potential (MEPs) elicited by single Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (sTMS) on acute stroke patients with flaccid hemiparesis before and after five days of treatment in Inpatient Rehabilitation setting.

Conclusion: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of repetitive magnetic stimulation of M1 region combined with magnetic stimulation of Neiguan and Sanyinjiao points on limb function after stroke. In this study, we observed the effects of electroacupuncture at Baihui (GV20) and Dazhui (GV14) on microglial activation and inflammation in the cortical ischemic penumbra (IP) of permanent middle cerebral artery occlusion (pMCAO) rats. Conclusion: The poststroke whole-brain network tended to a random network with reduced network efficiency. Acupuncture was able to modulate the disrupted patterns of the whole-brain network following the subcortical ischemic stroke. Our findings shed light on the potential mechanisms of the functional reorganization on poststroke brain networks involving acupuncture intervention from a large-scale perspective.
