Impact and repercussion of hemorrhagic shock on the aortic measurements during the sizing of stentgrafts

Because of its compliance, the aorta is prone to variations of diameter not only during the cardiac cycle but potentially at the time of a hemorrhagic shock. A better knowledge and a quantification of these variations should allow a better sizing of the stentgrafts and by consequence an improvement in the results of the endovascular treatment of aortic ruptures.
