Associations between childhood maltreatment latent classes and eating disorder symptoms in a nationally representative sample of young adults in the United States.
CONCLUSIONS: This study provides evidence that distinct childhood maltreatment profiles are differentially associated with eating disorder symptoms. Individuals exposed to multi-type childhood maltreatment may be at particularly high risk for eating disorders.
