Is the Small Saphenous Vein Really Effective as a Graft?

We read with interest the article by Nierlich and colleagues describing use of the small saphenous vein as a graft.1 We commend the authors' efforts in almost 20 years of research on use of the small saphenous vein as a graft, but there are several issues worthy of discussion in the study.
