It has been shown that in the presence of metakaolin the rate of hydration and hardening of the cement are changed. The metakaolin is connected by Ca(OH)2, allocated at hydration of an alite, in hydroaluminates of calcium and poorly the kristallichny of hydrosilicates of calcium of various basicity. The additive of not modified metakaolin promotes formation of the low-main HSC (C/S = 0.8–1.5). In the presence of the modified metakaolin high-main HSC (C/S = 1.5–2) are formed. The additive of the modified metakaolin increases cement durability in early terms of curing thanks to fast formation of additional quantity of the hydrate phases, which condense structure of a cement. It leads to increase of frost resistance and corrosion resistance of cement.
