ConclusionsThis study describes the structure of Tn6349, a novel composite transposon carrying several resistance determinants to anti-ribosomal drugs, includingcfr andpoxtA, from an oxazolidinone-resistant MRSA strain. Analysis of Tn6349 revealed a modular structure that could favour the mobilization of its resistance determinants.

The aim of the study was to evaluate the impact of manual cleaning and manual cleaning followed by Ultraviolet-C disinfection on the colony forming units of bacteria retrievable from equipment and surfaces within clinic rooms following a CF outpatient encounter. In conclusion, it is a novel antimicrobial peptide discovered from the skin secretion of Limnonectes fujianensis, and particularly effective against both planktonic and sessile MRSA.
