Endophthalmitis Rates and Clinical Outcomes Following Penetrating and Endothelial Keratoplasty

We thank Drs. Agrawal and Khurana for their interest in our study. In our study, we have presented the endophthalmitis rates and clinical outcomes in a large series of patients undergoing penetrating or endothelial keratoplasty.1 The authors discuss several important factors to consider in endophthalmitis after corneal transplantation. They mention that there are some confounding factors, such as trabeculectomy or exposed Gore-Tex suture, for cases in our study. We agree that there are multiple factors in these particular cases that could contribute to the development of endophthalmitis and have acknowledged this in the discussion of our study.
