Pneumonia (hospital-acquired): antimicrobial prescribing: NICE guideline [NG139]
This guideline sets out an antimicrobial prescribing strategy for adults, young people, children and babies aged 72 hours and over with a confirmed diagnosis of hospital ‑acquired pneumonia. It does not cover ventilator‑associated pneumonia. It aims to optimise antibiotic use and reduce antibiotic resistance. It was published in September 2019.
