Targeting Jak/Stat pathway as a therapeutic strategy against SP/CD44+ tumorigenic cells in Akt/ β-catenin-driven hepatocellular carcinoma
Dysregulation and mutations of signaling pathways such as Akt/mTOR and Wnt/ β-catenin are frequently observed in human liver cancer. Akt/β-catenin/Stat3 regulatory axis plays an important role in governing cancer stem-like traits that contributes to liver tumorigenesis.
