Prediction of pregnancy outcome in women with first trimester bleeding by the detection of alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) in vaginal blood
We previously published that high concentration of alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) in the vaginal blood confirms the presence of microscopic embryonic/fetal tissue. Here we attempted to detect the presence of AFP in dried blood collected on pads from women with first trimester bleeding.
