Couple: Monsanto's Herbicide Roundup Caused Cancer; Company Had Knowledge

TRENTON, N.J. - A couple sued Monsanto Co. in New Jersey federal court on Sept. 9, contending that it is liable for causing the husband's cancer because the active ingredient in the herbicide Roundup is glyphosate, which the company has known is a carcinogen for decades (Peter Savvis, et al. v. Monsanto Company, No. 19-17754, D. N.J.).
