MicroRNA-300 inhibits the growth of hepatocellular carcinoma cells by downregulating CREPT/Wnt/ β-catenin signaling.

In conclusion, the current results revealed a tumor suppressive role of miR-300 in HCC and indicated that the underlying mechanism was associated with a regulation of CREPT. ConclusionThe results of our series of 13 cases indicate that intraoral soft tissue metastatic carcinomas have a male predilection with a male to female ratio of 11:2, are commonly found in the gingiva and alveolar mucosa (76.9%), present frequently as an easy-bleeding pyogenic granuloma-like lesion (92.3%). We present a very unusual initial presentation of occult HCC with peritoneal carcinomatosis secondary to liver rupture in a 70-year-old man with known nonalcoholic steatohepatitis–cirrhosis, best appreciated on FDG PET/CT. Our patient died a few days later. Tumor rupture is a rare but usually rapidly lethal complication of HCC.

Conclusion Lung shunt fraction appears low among patients with non-hepatocellular carcinoma liver malignancies. Further analysis examining the necessity of pre-Y90 technetium-99 m macro aggregated albumin lung shunt fraction studies in patients with non-hepatocellular carcinoma malignancies is warranted, since a consolidated yttrium-90 radioembolization without prior lung shunt fraction evaluation could reduce resource consumption, improve workflows, and patient access.
