Irritable Bowel Disease

It has been said that one can be judged by the company that one keeps. It has also been said that one cannot be judged guilty by association. So once again, aphorisms don ’t clarify matters too much for us. Still, both of those ideas can be true simultaneously under the correct circumstances. With whom we choose to associate does say much, though not all, about us. In the field of medicine, some of the same logic prevails. Once upon a time, there were surgeons and physicians, and their paths did not intersect much.
