Early Antibiotic Prophylaxis Prior to Bypass Surgery Improves Tissue Penetration.

CONCLUSIONS:  Early, additional preoperative administration of cefazolin was able to significantly increase peak tissue concentrations during surgery compared with the standard protocol.
