Risk Factors and Outcomes Associated With Treatment of Asymptomatic Bacteriuria in Hospitalized Patients

In this retrospective cohort study (2733 patients) in US hospitals it was shown that antibiotic treatment (n=2259) did not appear to be associated with improved outcomes and may be associated with longer duration of hospitalization after urine testing (4 vs 3 days).
