As a simulator of blade-casing connection structure, its bending and tensile properties are very important. Therefore, experiments on these two properties of this structure were performed, and the experimental loads were applied on the web of the T-shaped plate. Experimental results showed that the delamination damage extends from the groove-edge to groove-middle in bending process, but the delamination damage extends from the groove-middle to groove-edge in tensile process. Then, bending and tensile properties and damage processes of the T-shaped hook-connected structure were simulated based on the progressive damage approach. Compared with experimental results, the maximum error is less than 15%, and the failure modes are similar.
