Judge Approves 3rd Co-Signer To Meet Bond Requirements In Donziger Criminal Case

NEW YORK - A federal judge in New York on Aug. 23 ordered the court clerk to amend the bond permit issued in the criminal proceeding against Steven R. Donziger, the attorney who won an $18.5 billion judgment against Chevron in a court in Ecuador for injuries only to have it reversed, to permit the signature of a third co-signer so that an additional surety can sign it and post property to satisfy criminal bond requirements (In re: United States v. Steven Donziger, No. 19-CR-561, S.D. N.Y.).
