It reflects conflicting views on objectives between the orthodontist who takes into account the facial balance and the patient who only desires a tooth alignment.RésuméCe cas clinique montre le traitement d’un patient de 14 ans présentant une malocclusion de Classe I sur un schéma de Classe II squelettique avec rétrognathie mandibulaire marquée. Il illustre la divergence entre les objectifs de l’orthodontiste de tenir compte de l’équilibre facial et celui du patient qui a comme seul motif de consultation son alignement dentaire.
