The assessment of asymptomatic inherited QT prolongation for high-hazard occupations

Individuals undertaking high-hazard professions such as aircrew, commercial divers, firefighters, policemen, and professional drivers typically undergo more intensive medical screening than in other occupations. Conditions with a risk of life-threatening cardiac events, either directly, or as a result of incapacitation or distraction, should, as far as possible be excluded.
