Effectiveness of the bimetallic catalytic center over the monometallic one for catalyzing the rearrangement of cyclopropanated bicyclic derivatives

Publication date: Available online 21 August 2019Source: Journal of Organometallic ChemistryAuthor(s): Arpita Chatterjee, Rohini Saha, Poulami Pal, Sonjoy Mondal, Kuheli ChakrabartyAbstractReport shows that the cyclopropanated pentacyclic and pyran derivatives undergo ring opening reaction to form monocyclic compounds under the catalysis of Zeise's salt. Present study on the mechanism of the rearrangement reaction by density functional theory shows that this reaction prefers the involvement of two metal atoms, provided by the Zeise's dimer to generate the product. Moreover an external water molecule or alcohol is required to generate the end product. The reduced activation barrier of the reaction pathway, catalyzed by two metal atoms, explains the occurrence of the rearrangement reaction at ambient condition.Graphical abstract

Publication date: Available online 13 October 2019Source: Carbohydrate PolymersAuthor(s): Shaolei Kang, Hualin Wang, Li Xia, Minmin Chen, Linlin Li, Junfeng Cheng, Xingjiang Li, Shaotong JiangAbstractIn this work, a colorimetric film was designed for shrimp freshness monitoring by incorporating rose anthocyanins (RAs) in polyvinyl alcohol/okra mucilage polysaccharide (PVA/OMP) composite film. The presence of OMP changed the film-forming solution from Newtonian to non-Newtonian fluid. The addition of OMP and RAs decreased the crystalline of PVA due to the hydrogen bonds among RAs, OMP and PVA. An appropriate content of RAs ...

AbstractIntroductionDespite the associations between delayed childbearing and poorer maternal and perinatal outcomes, little is known about these issues in regular exercisers and in women with healthy lifestyles. The aims of the present study were to: (a) compare lifestyle variables and exercise, pregnancy and birth outcomes in women ≥35 years and women
