Modulation of structure and mechanical properties of self-assembled peptide nanofibrils and nanosheets

Herein, we constructed amphiphilic-like peptide (KFAK) to form nanostructure from 1D fibril to 2D sheet, and the nanomechanical properties changed during the modulation. The peptide based fibril was much stiffer than the peptide based nanosheet.
