Background: Hair loss in black women is common; however,>70% do not see a dermatologist. Whether this is due to consumer driven choice, lack of awareness, or other socioeconomic issues remains elusive. Our aims of this study is to understand where black women receive information for treating hair loss and to evaluate their perception of dermatologists regarding treatment of hair loss.
