Feedback in dermatology residency programs: A national survey

Background: Millennials —adults of ages 18-34 years—represent the largest share of the American workforce, and the average dermatology resident is considered a millennial. Recent surveys have demonstrated the value millennials place on receiving detailed and regular feedback and its positive influences. Many residency programs offer annual to semi-annual evaluation periods. However, more consistent and frequent feedback may improve resident satisfaction, performance, and patient care.
