Group clinic for chemoprevention of squamous cell carcinoma —A pilot study

Background: Shared medical appointments (SMAs) enhance adherence to medical recommendations. Despite their documented advantages in other specialties, SMAs have rarely appeared in the dermatology literature. Topical 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) for actinic keratosis (AKs), which relies on patient behavior for effectiveness, presents a therapeutic challenge that could benefit from the group clinic format.
