Hot feet! Dancing the chilblains Cha Cha

Chilblains, a benign inflammatory condition, typically presents after exposure to cold conditions. It is a vascular reaction of the skin to a change in weather conditions typically found on the dorsum of the digits. The etiology is not well known, but could be due to vasoconstriction or autoimmunity. It usually presents in young or middle aged Caucasian women as erythematous papules appearing on the extremities. There are different types including idiopathic and those associated with connective tissue disease, most commonly lupus erythematosus.
