Kwashiorkor in an adult from alcohol dependance and severe malnutrition
We present a case of kwashiorkor seen in a 60-year-old male in Detroit, Michigan. Our patient had a history of seizures, heart failure, and alcohol dependence and presented to the hospital with a rash on the arms, legs, groin, and buttocks. The rash began about 1 week prior to hospitalization.
