Panniculitis due to Mycobacterium abscessus associated with mesotherapy injection

Background: Skin and soft tissue infections caused by nontuberculous mycobacteria have been increased as a complication associated with many procedures, including liposuction, illicit soft tissue augmentation, acupuncture, mesotherapy and contamination from medical instruments during surgery. The following is a case of cutaneous Mycobacterium abscessus infection following mesotherapy.
