Bayer sells animal health business for $7.6 billion
Elanco Animal Health Inc. has agreed to buy Bayer AG's animal health business, according to a release from Elanco.
The transaction is valued at $7.6 billion, and is subject to regulatory approval and other closing conditions.
According to the release, the acquisition will double Indiana-based Elanco's companion animal business.
