Completely agree with these points!
@ OP, looking back now I am so glad I got the experiences I did on my gap year whilst resitting. It’s given me more confidence and allowed me to develop some skills quite a lot, and I look forward to certain aspects of medical school that I may have been nervous about beforehand.
