Conclusions: A close collaboration between Cancer and Fertility Center in a tertiary care hospital is essential to provide a good health service in oncological patients. Offering fertility preservation is no longer considered optional and must be included in every therapeutic program for women who receive an oncological diagnosis in their reproductive age. Oocyte cryopreservation is a good option for fertility preservation for women facing cancer treatment and our results, despite on a small sample, are encouraging. We also confirm a low utilization rate as only 4.5% of patients returned to use their gametes.

Cervical cancer is one of the most common malignancies diagnosed during pregnancy with an estimated incidence of 1:2,000-10,000 pregnancies[11]. Discrepancies in inclusion criteria, such as live births, births beyond 20 weeks etc, may explain the variation of these results. Moreover an underestimation of the incidence of cervical cancer diagnosed during pregnancy may be due to lack of data of pregnancies that ended in a miscarriage or induced abortion. Management of cervical cancer during pregnancy represents a challenge for physicians due to its low incidence and to the lack of strong data.

ConclusionCurettage for miscarriage or undesired pregnancy is not exempt from complications, such as hemorrhage, simple perforation, and infection. Intrauterine fallopian tube incarceration is uncommon but can affect fertility. This diagnosis is important to avoid destruction of the fimbriae and necrosis of the tube and also to reduce the risk of ectopic pregnancy.
