Duplications in 19p13.3 are associated with male infertility

ConclusionThe result clearly indicates the significance of 19p13.3 duplication in infertile men with severe testicular phenotypes. The present study underlines the utility and significance of whole genomic analysis in the cases of male infertility which goes undiagnosed due to limitations in the conventional cytogenetic techniques and for identifying genes that are essential for spermatogenesis.

ConclusionsThe present drug-free IVA approach may be suitable for POR patients with DOR, as it increased the number of antral follicles. The procedure also eliminated the need for 2-day incubation with drugs and required only one surgery. This approach could allow the retrieval of more oocytes in middle-age women to achieve higher pregnancy rates and deserves proper evaluation in future randomized controlled trials.

Abstract For human infertility both male and female factors may be equally important. Searching for molecular biomarkers of male infertility, neglected for decades, and the attempts to explain regulatory mechanisms of fertilization become thus extremely important. Apart from examination of the structure and function of male gametes, also the possible importance of seminal plasma components should be considered. In this article we discuss data that indicate for the substantial significance of active seminal plasma components for conception and achievement of healthy pregnancy. Seminal plasma impact on the storage a...

This might seem like a surprising diagnosis, but often the cause for the infertility is ignorance.Interestingly, this is true , no matter how sophisticated or educated the infertile couple is.Many of them don't understand basic reproductive biology , and are very confused as to how to calculate their fertile time is. Thus, many women don't know what Day 1 of their cycle is. They haven't been told that Day 1 = the day their menstrual period starts, and will often count the day the flow stops as being Day 1 !They are smart enough to buy Apps and use ovulation prediction kits to track ovulation, but often they end u...

Endometriosis is a common cause of chronic pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea and infertility. Although 6 –10% of women of child bearing age are affected by the disease, and even more in the group of patients with fertility problems, diagnosis is often delayed and treatment can be challenging. Depending on the complaints, extent of disease and the goals of treatment (fertility treatment, pain reducti on, …), both medical and surgical options are available for the management of this pathology and often a  multidisciplinary approach will be necessary. Although diagnostic laparoscopy with histologic confirmation...

(Natural News) Remember the two-year experiment to release genetically modified mosquitoes into the wild to eradicate all the mosquitoes? For years, we were all lectured by scientists and GMO pushers who insisted that genetically modifying male mosquitoes to be infertile would cause the termination of nearly all offspring as females mated with the GMO males....
