New poll finds Oregonians would vote for higher taxes for universal care

A majority of Oregon voters in a new poll said they would consider paying a new health care tax to fund universal care and replace the current health care system. Three of four respondents said universal care is desirable, and of those, 58 percent favored replacing or eliminating private health insurance, according to the poll by Elway Research Inc. of Seattle.
