Successful Management of Unremitting Spasm after Myocardial Revascularization Exclusively with Bilateral Internal Thoracic Arteries in Y-graft Configuration: A Case Report. Heart Surg Forum. 2019 Jul 03;22(4):E283-E286 Authors: Stiru O, Geana RC, Sorostinean DI, Postu M, Stefan M, Chioncel O, Iliescu VA Abstract Coronary artery spasm (CAS) after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) is rare, and in time may be fatal for the patient if undiagnosed. The purpose of the present study is to report the case of a patient who survived after experiencing a persistent spasm of all native coronary arteries following successful arterial myocardial revascularization. Furthermore, we aimed to discuss the therapeutic strategies which may prevent the occurrence of a coronary artery spasm in settings of myocardial revascularization, in the context of reviewed specific literature evidences.
