Chronic kidney disease of unknown cause in Mexico: The case of Poncitlan, Jalisco.

In conclusion, CKD and proteinuria were detected frequently in residents of the Poncitlan community. Future studies should consider the possibility that CKDu is due to multifactorial causes, especially in poor communities.
