Urothelial carcinoma of the bladder with a rare solitary metastasis to the ovary

An 83-year-old female presented to her primary care physician for abdominal discomfort, associated with worsening abdominal distension. Her abdomen had become distended over the past several months and she also complained of urinary frequency and constipation. She denied any fever or chills and otherwise did not feel unwell. She also denied any hematuria or previous urinary tract infections. On physical examination, she was alert and oriented with obvious abdominal distension. Abdominal palpation revealed a large, firm, and mobile protuberance along the left side primarily at or below the level of the umbilicus.
