Rates and types of injuries during the three consecutive years 2016 to 2018 of the Vätternrundan-One of the world's largest and longest bicycle races. Traffic Inj Prev. 2019 Aug 05;:1-4 Authors: Sillén K, Wallenius V Abstract Objective: The present study was performed during 3 consecutive years of the Vätternrundan in Sweden, one of the world's longest and largest bicycle races. The aim was to examine the rates and types of injuries to participating cyclists in order to identify the reasons and mechanisms for injury, with the purpose of decreasing the risk of injury. Method: A retrospective observational interference study was performed over 3 consecutive years. Data were collected from medical records of cyclists who were treated at hospital for traumatic injuries at the Vätternrundan 2016. Injured cyclists were asked to fill out questionnaires about the accidents. During the 2 consecutive years 2017 to 2018, a follow-up was performed in order to evaluate whether the precautions taken, based on the data from the previous year, could decrease rate of injuries during the consecutive race. Results: Sixty-nine (0.35%) of the 19,663 participants in the Vätternrundan in 2016 were included in the study, due to their need for hospital care. The corresponding numbers for 2017 and 2018 were 52 (0.27%) and 44 (0.22%), respectively. The most common injury was fracture to the clavicle (18-30%). In total, 68-74% of all injuries were to the ...
ConclusionGiven our findings, conservative treatment should be compared to surgical treatment for displaced fractures and the anterior approach should be compared to the posterior one for surgical cases.Level of evidenceIV.
ConclusionsThe levels of urinary miRNAs are valuable biomarkers for idiopathic ONFH. Given the noninvasive nature of this test, it is potentially useful for diagnosis and monitoring of idiopathic ONFH progression.
ConclusionThere was no statistically significant different between knotless versus knotted medial row double row rotator cuff repair constructs using suture tape in regard to displacement across the repair site, stiffness and ultimate load to failure. Despite previous evidence suggesting inferiority of knotless medial row technique using suture constructs, this evidence may support the biomechanical equivalency of knotless medial row technique using suture tape.

CONCLUSIONS: For peripheral lung cancer, the measurement on CT and routine MRI sequences can potentially replace each other after comprehensive consideration of examination purposes, but for central lung cancer, alternative use of CT and MRI in evaluating treatment responses for lung cancer should needs extra attention. The diameter measurement of lung cancer on DWI is consistent with that on T1WI and T2WI, suggesting that DWI can provide functional and morphological information. This study was, therefore, conducted to evaluate the effectiveness WASH education program on households' WASH performance in rural Dembiya, northwest Ethiopia. Method: An uncontrolled before-and-after intervention study was conducted. Baseline and endline surveys were done among 225 and 302 randomly selected households with under-5 children, respectively, using a structured questionnaire and observational checklists. Percent point change was used to see the effect of the intervention. Pearson χ2 and Fisher exact tests were used to test for statistically significant percentage point changes on the basis of P

Sacituzumab-govitecan (SG) is a new class of antibody-drug-conjugate (ADC) targeting the human-trophoblast-cell-surface marker (Trop-2) conjugated with the active metabolite of irinotecan (SN-38). We evaluated the efficacy of SG against biologically ag...
