Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Levels In Children With Familial And With Polygenic Hypercholesterolemia

Background and Aims: Thyroid hormones inversely correlate with LDL cholesterol (LDL-C) and hypothyroidism is associated with increased cardiovascular disease risk, partly due to hypercholesterolemia. However, little data is available on the influence of hypercholesterolemia etiology on thyroid function in hypercholesterolemic children.
