Three methods, including the supply oil temperature method, the heat boundary layer method, and the hot oil carry-over method, were discussed and analyzed. In order to improve the accuracy of calculation results, a coupled computing model was established and calculated. A large bearing 1:1 experimental bench was designed to verify the rule of influence of thermal boundary layer. The experimental results show that the thermal boundary layer has a significant effect on the oil film temperature, which is consistent with the coupling calculated results. This paper provides data for large thrust bearing experiments and guidance for theoretical calculations.
